High Availability & Replication
A single database server is a single point of failure. For enterprise applications, High Availability (HA) is a mandatory requirement.
Configuring MySQL or PostgreSQL replication manually involves a terrifying dance of locking tables, copying binlog positions, and manually shuffling SSH keys.
RasnuOS automates this entirely.
One-Click Replication
If you have a Primary Database running on Server A, you can deploy a Read-Replica to Server B with a single click.
The RasnuOS Agent orchestrates the entire synchronization dance seamlessly:
- The Lock: The Primary Agent temporarily locks the master database and captures the precise binlog coordinate.
- The Snapshot: The Primary Agent streams a secure snapshot of the data over an encrypted peer-to-peer tunnel directly to the Replica Agent on Server B.
- The Unlock: The Primary database is immediately unlocked to resume writing.
- The Catch-Up: The Replica Agent mounts the snapshot and configures the native replication stream to catch up to the current binlog coordinate.
Your application now has a fully functioning Read-Replica, and you never had to touch a terminal.
Load Balancing
Once replication is established, you can instruct RasnuOS to configure HAProxy or an Nginx TCP Stream to automatically load-balance your application's read queries across multiple read replicas.
Failover Mechanisms
(Coming Soon)
In the event of a catastrophic failure on the Primary database (e.g., an AWS Availability Zone goes offline), the RasnuOS AI AutoPilot will detect the heartbeat failure and can automatically promote your Replica to be the new Primary, subsequently issuing an API command to your DNS Provider (like Cloudflare) to route traffic to the new Primary IP.
