Creating an Organization
RasnuOS is engineered for enterprise-scale infrastructure management. The fundamental boundary for all data, billing, and access control is the Organization.
The Organizational Boundary
Unlike legacy control panels that tie infrastructure directly to an individual user's account, RasnuOS rigidly ties all resources to the Organization.
- Data Isolation: All servers, databases, migration plans, and deployment recipes are strictly owned by the Organization.
- Employee Offboarding: If a senior engineer or CTO leaves the company, you simply revoke their membership from the Organization. The underlying infrastructure remains entirely untouched and operational.
- Multi-Tenant Friendly: A single developer can belong to multiple Organizations simultaneously (e.g., their Personal Homelab Organization, and their Corporate Enterprise Organization). Switching between them in the dashboard instantly scopes all views and API calls to the active context.
Creating Your First Organization
When you complete the initial onboarding flow in RasnuOS, you will be prompted to create your primary Organization.
- Navigate to Settings > Organizations.
- Click Create New Organization.
- Name your organization (e.g.,
Acme Corp). - This new Organization will immediately be assigned a distinct billing ledger and a zero-trust boundary. You can now begin inviting your team members to join it.
