Custom Agent Plugins

The core RasnuOS Agent is compiled as a static Go binary, ensuring it is incredibly fast and secure. However, no two infrastructures are exactly alike.

To support unlimited extensibility without bloating the core agent, RasnuOS introduces a powerful Agent Plugin Architecture.

eBPF & WebAssembly

Unlike traditional agents that force you to write complex C++ modules, RasnuOS Plugins are built using modern WebAssembly (Wasm).

This means your DevOps engineers can write custom telemetry collectors or firewall rules in Rust, Go, or AssemblyScript, and compile them to Wasm.

The core Agent securely sandboxes these plugins, executing them in real-time. If a custom plugin crashes or consumes too much memory, the Agent instantly terminates the sandbox, ensuring your server remains perfectly stable.

Distributing Plugins

Once a plugin is compiled, you simply upload it to the RasnuOS Control Plane. The Control Plane automatically distributes the plugin to the relevant Server Groups.

The Agent downloads the plugin into memory, verifies its cryptographic signature, and executes it silently in the background.
