Universal OS Support

At the core of RasnuOS's architecture is the RasnuOS Agent, a remarkably lightweight, high-performance daemon written entirely in Go (Golang).

Because the agent is compiled as a single static binary, it has zero external dependencies. You do not need to pre-install Python, Node.js, Java, or Ruby on your servers just to manage them.

Supported Operating Systems

Unlike legacy cloud panels that rigidly force you to use specific versions of Ubuntu, RasnuOS is designed to be truly universal.

Linux (Fully Supported)

The agent runs flawlessly on virtually any Linux distribution that uses systemd or standard init systems:

  • Ubuntu (18.04, 20.04, 22.04, 24.04+)
  • Debian (10, 11, 12+)
  • Alpine Linux (Perfect for lightweight containers)
  • RHEL, CentOS, AlmaLinux, & Rocky Linux
  • Arch Linux & Manjaro

Windows Server (Coming Soon)

(Currently in Beta) Enterprise environments often mix Linux and Windows workloads. The RasnuOS agent compiles natively for Windows and runs as a Windows Background Service, allowing you to manage IIS, Windows Firewall, and PowerShell scripts from the exact same dashboard you use for your Linux fleets.

macOS (Coming Soon)

(Currently in Beta) For build servers (e.g., iOS CI/CD pipelines) or local development environments, the agent runs natively on macOS (both Intel and Apple Silicon/ARM64) as a launchd daemon.

Minimal Resource Footprint

Because it is written in optimized Go, the agent consumes a negligible amount of resources:

  • Memory: Typically < 15MB of RAM at idle.
  • CPU: < 1% CPU utilization during normal polling.
  • Disk: A single < 25MB binary.

This means you can safely install the RasnuOS agent on tiny $4/month VPS instances or low-power IoT devices without degrading the performance of your actual applications.
